first of all, the recurrence of the other characters as reincarnated souls is, to the best of my knowledge, barely even hinted at, besides possibly ayrs’ dream and similar outside references

(and even so that’s, what, prophecy anyway?)

second of all, the yellowface is RACIST HOWEVER YOU SLICE IT

the other characters?  are NOT MEANT TO BE RECURRENT.  ayrs is not cavendish, for a start.  the casting is not informed by the reincarnation cycle AT ALL.

third of all, the soul is meant to be the same REGARDLESS of age, gender, race, and so forth.  that’s why there are SIX DIFFERENT ACTORS PLAYING THE SIX DIFFERENT INCARNATIONS.

and if it isn’t necessary for the main character, the only one who is canonically reincarnated

then it certainly isn’t necessary for secondary characters whose status as reincarnated is iffy at best
